Editorial Policy

Effective July 17, 2026

People-first purpose

We publish to help Kaufman County property owners understand the questions, records, rules, costs, and professional roles involved in an OSSF project. Pages are not written to impersonate a contractor or a permitting authority.

Source hierarchy

Regulatory claims should trace to primary sources such as TCEQ, the Texas Administrative Code, Kaufman County, or an applicable city or lake authority. Secondary sources may add context, but they do not override current official requirements.

Commercial independence

Contractors may pay for introductions. Payment does not buy a favorable editorial conclusion, alter a regulatory explanation, or make a contractor the author of an article. Any sponsored placement or commercial relationship that could affect a reader's interpretation must be disclosed clearly.

Authorship and review

Until a named qualified reviewer has actually reviewed a page, the site does not claim professional review. When a reviewer is added, the byline will state their real name, relevant credential, review scope, and date. We do not invent authors, credentials, field experience, tests, quotes, or customer outcomes.

Updates and corrections

Dates change only after meaningful publication, review, or revision. See the corrections policy to report an error.
