Independent guide. We are not the installer. How matching works
Ownership and purpose

About the Guide

Kaufman County Septic Guide is an independent information and contractor-matching website for local property owners. We do not install, repair, inspect, design, permit, or maintain septic systems.

Why the guide exists

Septic decisions here depend on local clay soil, parcel jurisdiction, usable space, system type, and maintenance rules. The guide organizes those details in plain language and helps homeowners prepare a useful request for an independent contractor.

What is on the site

The guide covers septic repair, replacement, new installation, inspections, aerobic maintenance, and Kaufman County permits, with town pages for Forney, Terrell, Kaufman, Crandall, Kemp, Talty, Scurry, Poetry, and more (see the service area), and 50 in-depth articles on costs, rules, buying and selling, and troubleshooting. Each article lists the official sources it was checked against.

What we check, and what we do not claim

Rules and figures are checked against TCEQ, the Texas Administrative Code, Kaufman County, and other primary sources, as described in the research methodology. Cost figures are planning ranges, not quotes. We do not claim a professional review that has not happened, publish invented reviews or credentials, or tell you a parcel will pass: soil, jurisdiction, and design are decided by licensed professionals and the permitting authority.

How the business works

Homeowners use the site without charge. We may introduce a request to one or more relevant independent contractor partners, and contractors may pay us for introductions. Contractors provide their own estimates and contracts. Payment never turns their claims into editorial conclusions or changes the official rules we cite. Contractors tell us which TCEQ license they hold; we don't audit licenses, so we show every reader how to check one on TCEQ's license search.

Accountability

Our editorial policy, research methodology, and corrections policy explain how information is selected, checked, dated, and corrected. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
